A Decisive Call
Every second counts in an emergency, and Shannon knew that. Shannon and I took a shower and then (it was) time to make her something to eat,” the mother said. Suddenly, she fainted and lost consciousness, leaving her daughter to deal with the situation alone.

A Brave and Well-Prepared Child
Shannon, who knew her address in Saint-Philbert-de-Bouaine, was able to provide this crucial information to the emergency services, allowing them to gain precious minutes. She followed the instructions given by the firefighters, trying to wake her mother by shaking her arm, then calmly waiting for help to arrive.
Firefighters quickly arrived, and Shannon's mother was able to receive the necessary care. "They present my daughter as my savior," she confided, still moved by Shannon's saving reflex.
